Wow Made Simple
(BRANDING, UI/UX DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, marketing + ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN)
The goal of WOW Made Simple was to create a hands on tech store. The “unbox” store. WOW Made Simple was to be the sister brand to long established Bethesda Systems home theater company in Bethesda, Maryland. As a solo bottom to top build or a brand website storefront, and marketing, this is by far my most challenging and rewarding project I have done to date.
BRANDING
Simplicity was of the utmost importance when developing this brand. As this was to be the sister of a well established business in the area. Congruency with the existing brand was also incredibly important. Many sketches of logos were made using lines and shapes often found in the gadgetry sold in the store. The final solution representing the smooth clear lines with letters hand formed to represent well designed and connected systems sold in the retail space. The color blue recognized as Bethesda Systems's taken from the namesake logo to show the relationship between the two companies.
WEBSITE
Upon completion of the branding we began to design and buildout the store website. It would house thousands of SKU’s for products and options. The owner also wanted the experience to be akin to Apple or Best Buy with an appointment feature that was created with the help of a local developer.
SOCIAL MARKETING
Once the branding and website were complete we were ready to work on our store and social media. Assisting with the layout and collateral marketing within the store became a very daunting task.
